Abdullah joined Tuffy's Pet Foods this summer as a Continuous Improvement Intern, bringing a passion for solving problems, improving processes, and making a positive impact on the people around him.

Originally from Yemen, Abdullah is pursuing an Industrial and Systems Engineering degree at the University of Minnesota and isn't afraid to step outside his comfort zone—whether that's moving across the world, exploring Minnesota's coffee shops, or tackling new challenges in manufacturing.

Garrett grew up in Fergus Falls and recently completed his first year at Minnesota State University Moorhead, where he's studying Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Business Management.

This summer, Garrett has been serving as an Inventory Control Intern at Tuffy's, gaining hands-on experience with inventory management and learning more about the day-to-day operations that keep the business running smoothly.

Outside of work, Garrett enjoys golfing, fishing, spending time at the lake, and being with friends and family. We're glad to have Garrett as part of the Tuffy's team this summer!

The answer starts with Darrell “Tuffy” Nelson, the entrepreneur who founded what would eventually become KLN Family Brands. The nickname "Tuffy" followed him throughout his life and reflected the grit, determination, and resilience that helped him build a business in rural Minnesota.
