You can join KLN Family Brands for the summer, as a full-time intern from June to August. Opportunities are available at both our Perham and Delano, MN locations.
Engineering, Automation & Operations
Efficiency, innovation & problem-solving in our world-class manufacturing facilities
Engineering Internship
Work alongside our innovative Operations Team to organize and manage projects related to increasing plant capabilities & efficiencies across all divisions of KLN Family Brands. You’ll identify, troubleshoot, and improve current processes at Kenny’s Candy & Confections, Tuffy’s Pet Foods, and Tuffy’s Treat Company.
Manufacturing Operations Internship
Are you serious about a career in manufacturing? Put your problem-solving, innovative, & analytical skills to use while working closely with our Director of Production, Shift Production Managers, & other operations leaders. Participate in product changeovers, proper safety labeling, general operations, and safety incident reporting to increase KLN Family Brands’ supply chain efficiency.
Manufacturing Automation Internship
Do you enjoy thinking outside the box? You’ll have the opportunity to improve production equipment & improve our automation processes while working closely with our Maintenance Manager, Engineering, & other operations leaders.
Environmental, Health & Safety Internship
Quality & Safety is one of our Core Beliefs. Assist in maintaining an overall culture of safety that aligns with KLN Family Brands’ objectives and values. Join a team developing, implementing, and managing health and safety policies and procedures in the workplace.
Food Safety Internship
We’re proud of the premium products we make for people and pets. As an intern, you’ll work with the best to help ensure we continue to safely produce quality products. Just a few of the things you’ll be exposed to include GMP audits and inspections.
Formulations Internship
Work with our team of food scientists to develop nutritious pet food blends. You’ll learn new product development processes like USDA guidelines and understand ingredient usage, and formulation setup.
R&D Food Technologist Internship
Do you love candy and confections? We’re looking for a student who is pursuing a degree in Food Science. You’ll work alongside our R&D team to benchtop samples, develop formulations for trials, research new ingredients, review nutritional information, and more! Join our team and participate in the growth of the fastest-growing brands in the candy & confections industry.
Maintenance & Electrical Operations
Manage projects & train on procedures while increasing efficiency across our lines
Apprentice Electrician
Work with Production and Maintenance personnel on construction and/or maintenance projects. Assist with and train operators on procedures and equipment related to electrical at divisions of KLN Family Brands. Accumulate time and take steps to acquire an A-Journeymen electrical license.
Manufacturing Maintenance Internship
Participate in fast-paced real-world projects designed to further develop strategic project management, analytical problem solving, & managerial leadership skills. Discover opportunities for increased maintenance line effectiveness to ensure our consumers have the freshest products to feed their families.
Warehouse & Logistics Internship
Are you interested in getting things from Point A to Point B? You’ll get hands-on experience as you create orders, observe order picking, and build summary reports suggesting areas of improvement. Work closely with the Director of Production Operations, Warehouse Manager, Traffic Coordinator, and Inventory Control Supervisor to keep the supply chain moving smoothly.
