Pinky Swear Foundation

We are a proud partner with the Pinky Swear Foundation donating $1 Million, over 5 years, to help fight childhood cancer.

Tuffy Nelson Memorial Golf Classic

Since the inception of the tournament 38 years ago, many memories have been made & friendships cultivated. The tournament has raised over $1.4 Million for great causes and commitments to making the world a better place. This year’s proceeds will go to five charities that help fight cancer & support families of cancer patients (Roger Maris Cancer Center, Pinky Swear Foundation, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society LLS, American Cancer Society, and Brave like Gabe). The golf outing also benefits Make-A-Wish Minnesota, an organization that grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

We offer multiple scholarship opportunities for area students awarding upwards of $40,000 to deserving students looking to further their educational careers.

Anyone going on to a 2-year, 4-year, and or the military for further education can apply.

Soldier’s 6

It turns out dogs can both heal and heel. In 2021, we partnered with Soldier’s 6. The Minnesota non-profit, founded by Ed & Dana Abrahamson, provides honorably discharged Veterans, police officers, firefighters, paramedics, correctional officers, and 911 dispatchers with specially trained K-9’s. These special dogs will become their battle buddy and help guide them through the difficult days in life. For Ed, receiving a service dog was a life-changing experience.

“When I left the (police) department I was a hot mess. There were days when I was suicidal, I drank every day. I’ve got 8 years of Military, several deployments overseas, and a total of 20 years as a cop. It’s taken its toll,” said Abrahamson.

The Spot by NutriSource® is a Soldier’s 6 Training Facility that will be opening near the Twin Cities this fall.

Facility Dog Programs

Our support of facility dog programs helps children, and their families, during some of the most challenging times. We believe a dog’s wet nose and the gentle wag of its tail can offer hope & unconditional love amid so much uncertainty. In 2019, funding from NutriSource® allowed the M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis to launch a facility dog program. In 2022, we expanded our support of facility dogs to include Boston Children’s Hospital. NutriSource® is in the process of finalizing support for more programs at other children’s hospitals across the country.

Employee Giveback (Ka$h For Kau$e$ Programs)

Our employees have multiple opportunities, through monetary donations and volunteer hours, to give back to the communities they call home.

For every hour an employee volunteers (up to 24 hours per year) we give them $10 to donate to a non-profit of their choice. Plus, we’ll even match donations! For every dollar an employee donates to a qualifying non-profit KLN will match up to $250 yearly. The giving doesn’t stop there. Every division of the company has the opportunity to choose a non-profit they’d like to receive $5,000 at the end of the year. The best part? Our employees decide the winners by casting their ballots.
