Kenny’s Candy & Confections
Born from a love of all things sweet, Kenny Nelson added Kenny’s Candy & Confections to the KLN Family Brands umbrella in 1987. The goal was “simple”: To make a better-tasting, better-chewing licorice than anyone else.
Today, Kenny’s is the leading manufacturer of private label & bulk licorice, a key producer in the drizzled popcorn market, and the premier source for private label gummy supplements. While Kenny’s growth has been extraordinary, it’s never caused the team to waiver from their Core Beliefs. Tuffy’s Pet Foods
Tuffy’s Pet Foods, Inc. specializes in the manufacturing of dry dog and cat food. The company was founded by Darrell “Tuffy” Nelson in 1964 and is family-owned and operated to this day. Tuffy’s is based out of Perham, MN and is best known for the production its brand of NutriSource Pet Foods products and operates as a subsidiary of KLN Enterprises, Inc. Tuffy’s kibble facility has an annual capacity of over 190,000 tons of product.

Tuffy’s Treat Company
Tuffy’s Treat Company specializes in the manufacturing of dry and semi-moist dog and cat treats. Tuffy’s Treat Company operates a state-of-the-art facility in Delano, MN that is dedicated to the making of high quality pet treats and canned pet foods. Tuffy’s Treat Company along with sister company Tuffy’s Pet Foods is family-owned and operated — and has been since it was founded in 1964. With a continued focus on delivering the highest quality, Tuffy’s is best known for the production of NutriSource products.
The Spot
NutriSource, a brand under the KLN Family of Brands, has a service dog training facility in Greenfield, MN, called The Spot by NutriSource. The “Why” is truly the idea, the heart, and the soul of The Spot. To quote Charlie Nelson, “Why are we here if we aren’t trying to make a difference?” Those are not only words of core beliefs, they are the actions that we commit to our community, to our families, and to our friends. We provide and foster a safe, healthy, and encouraging environment to support our Veterans and First Responders as they follow their path toward healing with the bond of their “Battle Buddy” through canine training. The Spot will work closely with Soldier’s 6, a Minnesota-based non-profit that provides active-duty military members, honorably discharged Veterans, and First Responders with specially trained K9s.
We believe in taking care of the families in our community, and our promise is to provide the best care for their beloved canine or feline family members, whether they’re here for playcare, boarding, or grooming.
