Tuffy’s Pet Foods, Inc. specializes in the manufacturing of dry dog and cat food. The company was founded by Darrell “Tuffy” Nelson in 1964 and is family-owned and operated to this day. Tuffy’s is based out of Perham, MN and is best known for the production its brand of NutriSource Pet Foods products and operates as a subsidiary of KLN Enterprises, Inc. Tuffy’s kibble facility has an annual capacity of over 190,000 tons of product.

Minnesota based Tuffy’s Treat Company is a third-generation family owned company specializing in the manufacturing of companion animal pet treats and canned foods. Tuffy’s is dedicated to becoming the go to manufacturing partner for best in class treats and canned diets for your pet.

Capabilities

We have capabilities to manufacture a wide array of premium and value formulas of semi moist, crunchy and biscuit pet treats in various forms, shapes and sizes. Our can lines are able to produce pate style formulas in several sizes and case packs. Our onsite Research and Development Team can emulate a current recipe or develop a customized formula to your specification. Our craft style facility allows us to offer smaller minimum order quantities than others in the market.
