Each Holiday Season, here at KLN, we host a Department Challenge, where employees are invited to nominate their favorite nonprofit organizations. Afterward, a voting process takes place, allowing employees to select the nonprofit they would like to receive a donation from our organization. Each division has one winner, which means five different organizations benefit from this wonderful challenge.
This year, we were proud to donate $5,000 to five incredible organizations. We are honored to support these groups as they continue to better our communities.
The nonprofit with the most votes from Kenny’s Candy & Confections was the Wadena County Humane Society. They are especially dear to our hearts, as they play a crucial role in positively impacting the lives of our beloved furry friends—feeding them, providing love, and helping them find forever homes.
The Tuffy’s Pet Foods winner was Dreams for Kids, a biker group that raises funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This group also sponsors children and families in need, offering them support as they navigate through difficult times. They truly deserve this donation.
Another one of our favorite organizations here at KLN is BIO Girls—Perham, which is why they are the recipient of this year’s donation from the KLN Family Brands Office. BIO Girls is doing remarkable work by helping young girls build confidence as they navigate the challenges of life. We are proud to support them as they continue to uplift so many young girls.
At Tuffy’s Treat Company, we’re proud to support Camp Odayin, an organization that positively impacted one of our employees as a child. Camp Odayin offers fun, safe, and supportive camp experiences for young people living with heart disease, surrounded by medical professionals and peers who understand their journey.
Last, but certainly not least, The Spot selected Soldiers 6 as the recipient of their donation. Soldiers 6 is another organization that holds a special place in our hearts. It aligns closely with our mission at The Spot, as we work together to train incredible dogs to become service animals for first responders in need.
